I know I’m very late posting this, but I thought it was so exciting at the time that I reckon its still worth a quick mention. I was on Twitter 2 minutes before the Burberry Mens show last week and by chance spotted a tweet to say the live stream was about to start at live.burberry.com. The livestream allowed viewers to comment on the collection as it unfolded on screen. Enthusiastic viewers from all around the world logged in and waited excitedly fro the show to begin. The lights went down and Christopher Bailey didn’t disappoint. Every part of the show was amazing, from the lights to the buttons on the coats. WIth a focus on outerwear evident, Bailey produced a stunning collection of coats and simple basics to compliment.
Now really I hope that there will be lots and lots more live streaming of shows in the future. With such a extensive and enthusiastic online fashion community it only stands to reason that this should be the way forward. You can view a recording of the Burberry livestream with all the comments here: live.burberry.com.
