With the Oscars taking stage tonight, excitement is building as to who will win what and who will wear what. An article in the Telegraph claims Galliano’s recent arrest in Paris will rule out stylists choosing his gowns for their film star clients tonight. It will be interesting to see how thing pan out seeing as Natalie Portman – best actress nominee – was rumoured to be wearing a Galliano dress. I’m sure Portman will figure something out, her style has been really on point for her many recent red carpets. Last night’s Film Independent’s Spirit Awards were no exception. She looked perfectly gorgeous in a yellow Givenchy dress that showed off her baby bump. She wore a nude pump and kept jewellery to the bare minimum and looked glowing.
While Portman picked up the award for best female lead, James Franco won best male lead for 127 Hours. Franco dressed down his suit by wearing a cosy cardigan over it! Its different, but I think it works in the context of the Indie Spirit awards. Franco will be hosting the Oscars tonight along with Anne Hathaway! The other best dressed of yesterday’s Spirit Awards was Zoe Salanda, Zoe wore a Dolce & Gabbana dress with red Brian Atwood pumps, a matching shade of lipstick, Piaget jewelry, and a cute Bottega Veneta clutch.
